The Heritage Consultancy
The Heritage Consultancy delivers clear, commercially aware and up-to-date advice on planning and conservation matters within the historic environment. Isupport homeowners, developers and professional teams in securing successful outcomes for proposals affecting listed buildings and heritage assets.
With a specialist focus on planning applications and Listed Building Consent, Iprepare well-researched, robust and proportionate Heritage Impact Statements, Heritage Assessments, and Pre-Purchase Surveys for historic properties. Ialso undertake Level 1, 2 and 3 Building Record Surveys in accordance with Historic England guidance, providing accurate and reliable documentation to support both planning and conservation objectives.
Icombine technical expertise with a pragmatic approach, helping to navigate the planning process efficiently and with confidence. When the right strategy is in place from the outset, securing consent need not be complex.

Adrienne Ridler-Lee MSc

I am a heritage consultant specialising in the protection and thoughtful evolution of the historic built environment, working across both urban and rural contexts. I hold an MSc in the Conservation and Management of Historic Buildings from the Cultural Heritage Institute at the Royal Agricultural University, Cirencester, and have a strong background in property and estate management, bringing a commercially aware and pragmatic approach to my work.
I advise on a wide range of projects, including historic houses, new development, and the readaptation of traditional farm buildings. Each project is carefully considered to ensure it responds appropriately to its setting, character, and specific historic or architectural significance.
My work includes guiding the appropriate provision of development from urban regeneration schemes to new build within the countryside, as well as the integration of site-appropriate renewable energy solutions, ensuring a balanced and sensitive approach to both heritage and sustainability.
I am committed to delivering clear, balanced, and well-informed advice that protects the relationship between place, landscape, and built form, enabling positive change while preserving the qualities that define both our towns and countryside for future generations.
